Woof Gang Bakery Grooming Agreement

  1. Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information: By signing this agreement, owners verify their pet(s) are current on rabies, distemper, and parvovirus vaccinations. Proof of vaccination or current titer testing shall be provided to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Boulder (WGB), as well as current veterinarian information. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. Vaccine records can be sent to us at 720.807.5823 or emailed to us at boulder@woofgangbakery.com. Please contact us if you have any questions or any vaccine exemption.
  2. Handling / Safety Fee: Owners must inform WGB if their pet(s) bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people or other pets. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. If your pet shows any unsafe behavior, or any situation mentioned above WGB reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process. An extra FEE ($15 or $25 or $35) will be charged as a handling fee (need of special care), in addition to the regular grooming charge.
  3. Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets: The owner shall be responsible to inform WGB of any Pet’s medical condition. Grooming can sometimes be stressful, especially for seniors or pets with health problems, it can expose hidden or aggravate known medical problems, during or after the groom. Because seniors or pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in a style that will not add to their stress. This agreement will give WGB permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet. We will do our best to contact you first, then take your pet to your authorized veterinarian or the nearest available veterinarian. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner upon signing this agreement.
  4. Mat Removal: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pet’s coat will only grow tighter and can strangle the pet’s skin. De-matting of severely matted pets is not offered as one of our services. We stand that comfort comes before vanity. If there are just a few mats, we will be happy to help your pet. For that, there is an extra FEE of $15/15 minutes for de-matting. De-matting takes time as must be done slowly and carefully making sure your pet's skin is not injured during the process. Prevention is the best defense against matting; therefore, be sure to schedule regular grooming appointments.
  5. Shave Down: Shave down will be considered when the pet is severely matted, and mats cannot be combed or brushed out without causing the pet unnecessary discomfort or distress. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed before the grooming process. Torn skin from mats can also harbor maggots. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self- inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of the hair to regrow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should either have sunscreen applied daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases, pets can also exhibit brief behavioral changes. WGB will use all precautions during these  procedures but will be held harmless if any of these side effects occur. There is an extra FEE of $35 for the shave down.
  6. Accidents: There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp. Even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, potential problems could occur, including cuts, nicks, and scratches. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. We reserve the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed.
  7. Parasites: If you suspect your pet has fleas or ticks, prompt and thorough action on your pet is needed. If fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, you will be charged an extra FEE of $10 to properly treat your pet with a natural product to kill the parasites. WGB will not use pesticide dips or sprays on your pet. If ticks are found, we strongly suggest that you have your pet tested for Lyme Disease. We reserve the right to end the grooming session if an infestation is found.
  8. Hold Harmless Agreement: By signing this agreement you (or your Agent) agree to hold Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Boulder, its owners, franchise owners, affiliates, operators, employees, officers, and directors harmless from any damage, liabilities, financial and otherwise loss or claim including but not limited to veterinarian bills arising from any condition of the listed pet(s), either known or unknown, to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Boulder or any other property of Customer, which arises in any way from services and/or products provided by or as a consequence of customers association with Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Boulder. It is also further understood and agreed that the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will override any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood that this agreement applies to all dogs and pets groomed at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Boulder, current, and future pets, regardless of if they are listed.
  9. Pet Photo Consent: I hereby consent for my pet(s) to be photographed or videoed and I authorize WGB, its employees, agents, or authorized representatives to use, reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute and display the said photograph(s) in WGB display, advertisement, Web site or other material for promotional purposes. Images are the property of WGB. The use of all images remains royalty-free indefinitely voluntarily and is not considered work for hire.
  10. Early & Late Drop Off: Please drop off your pet at your scheduled appointment time. Since we provide spa booking by appointment only, dropping off a pet later than it is scheduled might compromise our quality of service once it sets us behind our schedule. If you think you may be late for your appointment, give us a call. Bear in mind in this case we might have to change the service requested. We tolerate no more than 15 minutes late; in this case, your appointment will be canceled. If you need to drop off your pet early, please give us a call before.
  11. Late Pick-Ups: We ask that all pets be picked up within 1 hour of the time you get the “ready for pick up” message. We are not a boarding facility and cannot board animals overnight. A fee of $20.00 will be charged for late pick-up due at the time of pickup. If your pet is not picked up by closing for the day, an additional $50.00 kennel charge may also apply. Subsequent days will be charged at $100/day, plus food, medicine, or other necessities. WGB has the right to place the pet in a temporary boarding facility, foster home, or other off-site location at an additional expense. By signing this agreement, I agree to abide by pick up and agree to my credit card being charged the applicable pickup fees.
  12. No Shows & Cancellations: Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business, and another client could  have taken your appointment if we had known. Cancellations must be made 24 hour before your appointment. Any cancellations with less than 24 hour of notice will be considered as a No Show and will result in a 50% charge of your service cost. As a courtesy, we will send you a friendly reminder text and email 2 days before your service appointment date. You  will also receive our call one day prior.
  13. Payment: Payment is due at pick up. Pricing varies for each pet and is determined by size, condition of coat, and services requested. Our prices shown on our Spa Menu are a “begin at” price. An extra fee can be added on top of this price. We can provide you with an estimate at drop-off. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks.
  14. Stopped Services: If the grooming service has to be stopped for the safety of the Pet or the Groomer, the client will still be charged for any completed services performed.
  15. Treats Not Labeled for Pets: You consent that you are bringing a product not labeled for pet to treat him/her during grooming if necessary.
